ANAW conducts community education to sensitize people on a varied number of issues at hand. After carrying out rabies vaccination for instance the team educates communities on the importance of having their animals vaccinated against rabies and dog population control issues.

Community education and awareness is a continuous process necessary in promoting the peoples appreciation and active participation in wildlife & environmental conservation. Desnaring team members actively promote conservation awareness in the areas visited. The awareness is done through night open air films and talks to the communities and in house school films as well as talks to pupils.
