ANAW is actively involved in observing, participating and organizing animal welfare and biodiversity conservation related events in partnership with other stakeholders. Amongst our key events include the first ever Pan African Seminar on Alternatives to the use of animals in educational training and experiments that was jointly organized with the International Network for Humane Education (InterNICHE) in Kenya on September 2009.
ANAW also hosted an African Animal Welfare Workshop on collaboration and networking in tackling animal welfare challenges in Africa attended by over 20 organizations from across 11 African countries. Through these events and gatherings, we seek to network, partner discuss and seek solutions to critical animal welfare issues on the continent.
In the news section of this website, we incisively address animal welfare issues that we deal with through our different programs in different parts of Africa. The aim of the news articles is to inform and educate the public on the advances in the world of animal welfare.
