ANAW offers a unique first-hand experience to care for and protect animals in Kenya to interested volunteers from all over the world. Physical exposure to diversified sources of knowledge and the opportunity to experience the very situations described in books and classrooms, nurtures the mind to get inclined to deeply think about different phenomena and to produce top notch tangible results at work.
The volunteer program provides avenues for people to invest their skills, minds, and hearts in support of ANAW’s mission. ANAW volunteers have the power to increase public awareness on animal welfare issues in Kenya and Africa at large. By volunteering with us, you have the opportunity to gain personal growth and a sense of purpose in knowing that you are touching the lives of the animals and communities around Africa.
Every task, no matter how small, has a significant beneficial effect to the bigger picture. Volunteering at ANAW provides the opportunity to meet people from within the communities and become part of a team that is excited and united in one purpose.
Year-round volunteer support is essential to meet the ever expanding needs of ANAW’s programs. We welcome volunteers who can help with one-time-projects, work on short term assignments, on-going programs, or are willing to be on call for international or domestic emergencies. Our volunteers can offer their time on daily, weekly, monthly, or on occasional basis.
